A better interpretation of what I wanted to say in the previous comment could be that this photo conveys emotion, and inspires a desire to comfort the sadness that is there with tears, but also hidden in that deep but tender look. Touching. Nice composition. It's interesting to see how playing with the position of the subject in the frame you can get results like this; the bg takes more place on the picture, but the face takes all the credit. Neat.
